RENEWING YOUR REGISTRATION
Please note: You will only be able to renew your registration in the eight weeks before it expires.
To continue carrying out gas work legally all Gas Safe registered businesses must renew their
registration every year. We will let you know when you need to renew your registration
and will send you a letter or an email explaining what you need to do.
Renewing online is quick and easy and means all future communications will be sent to you
electronically saving you time and money. We are again offering a reduced fee for online renewals.
New this year and another easy way to pay is by Direct Debit. Direct Debit is only available to
businesses that renew online. You will need to ensure your Direct Debit is set up approximately 5
weeks before your renewal date. Find out more information about Direct Debit.
The fees for the registration year commencing 1st April 2011 are available in the renewal fee
section in the left hand menu.
Renewing your registration online is simple. You can also download our registration renewal user guide
providing you with a step by step guide of what you need to do.
To renew your registration online you will need your user ID and password. If you have
forgotten your user ID or password follow the instructions on the business log in page to
have them re-sent to you. If you do not have an online account you can ring Customer
Services on 0800 408 5577. They will provide you with a user ID and password.
To renew, log in to the website and you will have two options:

Update registration details: click on this if you need to make any amends to your business
details. This includes adding or removing engineers or changing your trading title.

Make payment to renew: if all your details are correct click here to make your payment and renew.
You will receive email confirmation that your registration has been renewed. When your
renewal has been processed you will receive your registration certificate and a licence card
for each of your engineers. These will usually arrive within 10 working days of receipt of your payment.
Remember, if you renew online all future communications will be sent to you electronically.
